while there are still no neurodiversity studies masters in the UK, for now the medical humanities masters at durham covers a lot of neurodiversity theory (not just autism!) and some mad studies stuff too. pass it on! durham.ac.uk/research/insti…
there's also an online open day coming up soon! durham.ac.uk/research/insti…
@DrRJChapman would I be able to dm/email you for more info about this course? I've been eyeing it up for a while now but would love to find out more info specifically about how I can craft it into being more ND related
I wish my lifetime had synced up with the ability to take neurodiversity studies I didn’t find out I was autistic until after grad school (social work, which at least gave me the foundation to learn about neurodivergency and years later allowed me to work with autistic people Love your work btw. I’m so glad someone wrote about the stuff I spent 2010-2020 obsessing about. I’m old enough to know how critical it is you wrote your book because I know how little knowledge and awareness about autism and other types of neurodivergency used to be out there
@DrRJChapman Do you know if this one covers nd theory content? qmu.ac.uk/news-and-event…
@DrRJChapman I had heard the open university were doing one?
@DrRJChapman thats interesting...im studying neurodiversity from a non medical angle at University of Sunderland
