Gerritt Cole injury update After meeting Dr. ElAttrache, the decision regarding Cole’s elbow is “The initial recommendation for Cole’s troubled right elbow is rest, rehab and some conservative, non-surgical treatments” per @JonHeyman This is GOOD NEWS. I described this possibility as option #1 in the original attached tweet. Meaning he likely misses 4-6 week, as this is the best case scenario with no injury to the ligament or flexor muscles. I also believe that Cole will a combo of PRP and stem cell injections, at least one round (I personally prefer 3). Ideally he returns before the All-Star break and is able to look like his normal self for the rest of the season.

@DrJesseMorse @JonHeyman Is it common that pitchers do this and then pitch for 1-2 months and then end up needing TJ anyways?
@DrJesseMorse @JonHeyman So, doctor would you see him back by like June 15th?
@DrJesseMorse @JonHeyman So if it’s not torn, what is that they’re seeing? What’s the injury??
@DrJesseMorse @JonHeyman I'd like to hear @drchrisahmad take on this, please...
