Dear Quasi-Governmental Censors, It's OK that someone posted something wrong on the internet. You do it too. All the time. It's OK to just let it be. Be still and know that you are not God. Helpfully yours, Jay
@DrJBhattacharya What if I'm a person who believes everything I read? Don't I need someone to filter what I see?
@DrJBhattacharya He does not (or pretends not to) understand there are different types of, different degrees of and different consequences of “wrong”; Internet misinformation distributor will, and should be made accountable, soon or later.
@DrJBhattacharya I must’ve learned it all wrong in Con Law. I thought the 1st Amendment was for individual protection against the govt. Turns out apparently only the govt has 1st Amendment rights to express the opinion that individuals need to be censored. 🤷🏻♂️
@DrJBhattacharya I dont fully understand why SCOTUS wastes time on rendering drawn out rulings on these cases. Disinformation is protected by the First Amendment. U.S. v. Alvarez (2012). The censorship regime was obviously a state actor relationship. Why pretend there was legit motive at all?
@DrJBhattacharya And if they think it’s wrong, they have the most powerful megaphone in the world from which to project that point of view; nothing is stopping them.
