Nothing like the people on twitter during strikes telling you to leave if you donāt like it, to speed up and encourage you to complete your Canadian immigration application. In a year and a half when Iām on 36k as a ājunior doctorā my mate in Canada who graduated at the same time as me will be a fully qualified GP on 100k, also in a free at point of use service. š š«” šæ
@DrEilidhMaria I back the strikes. As an NHS dentist we canāt strike (all sorts of long winded reasons) and the system is being destroyed completely, to a point where there may not be much of a system left. Only ones to suffer will be patients but, we will still be tarred as greedy dentists!
I mean thereās hardly a functioning system left in reality. Itās mad really because people just donāt understand that underfunding public services causes ill health and dentition which further causes ill health because the services they need canāt fix the problem. And then we say itās not possible for the system to work in the demand it has, when our gov created that demand
@DrEilidhMaria @Tsangbang The NHS is [not] "underfunded", it is extremely badly run.
@DrEilidhMaria @Tsangbang I'm over 70 now and I just know it is going to shorten my life. And I love life.
@DrEilidhMaria @Tsangbang Hmm does Canada translators, things in 15 languages,, health tourism, diversity managers, big list.
@DrEilidhMaria @Tsangbang Never known a fix a problem, just treatment symptoms. That's how health system works. Good luck in canada
@DrEilidhMaria Exactly. Iām sure itās the same in general public health but even in dental public health there is so little available to fund things that could in the long term save not only money, but improve health and well being. Itās all just so frustrating the people in power wonāt see it!
