One lesson from the pandemic: we’re so addicted to entertainment that we would rather be poorly entertained (reruns, social media videos, at home talk shows, etc) than do the work of spending our large swaths of free time doing something meaningful - reading, writing, learning...

@JonathanMerritt And on & on...some are comical...but I think it comes down to a parental authority/responsibility/privilege to protect/train/care for/provide for/nurture/love - Discipline is a necessary component of this parent/child relationship - how to discipline is a worthwhile convo

I admire a lot about my dad. 7x All-Star. 2 MVPs. 5 Gold Gloves. But nothing compares to his example of how he loves my mom. Before every game, he'd stop in the tunnel to call home. Of all the highlights, memories, and accolades, this photo is the most important one.
