‘COYOTE VS ACME’ is now expected to be shelved and deleted forever. Warner Bros wanted $75M - $80M for the film and rejected offers from Netflix, Amazon & Paramount, refusing to let them counter-offer. (Source: thewrap.com/coyote-vs-acme…)
“What was so exciting was that it felt like the film captured the voice of the Looney Tunes that we love in a way none of the other feature versions have ever done,” says Paul Scheer, who attended a screening of ‘COYOTE VS ACME’.
@DiscussingFilm If we ask 4chan really nicely, do you think theyd get us this film?
@DiscussingFilm The film costs $30M to make, they really just want the tax write-off because they negotiating in bad faith for real. Filmmakers deserve better from these execs who waste money & IP like this.
@DiscussingFilm So…you waste money making it to shelf and delete it?
@DiscussingFilm Seems that just about every industry is now run by execs who would rather exploit the tax code than produce work.
@DiscussingFilm This is evil. Hopefully somebody will save it from execution
@DiscussingFilm Why is it a tax write off? It should just be expenses.
@DiscussingFilm How unfortunate.. 😟
@DiscussingFilm Give it to me Il keep it safe.
@DiscussingFilm Deleting "art" is sooo fucked up.
