Regina King speaks on the loss of her son Ian two years after his passing: “I’m a different person now than I was. Grief is a journey. I understand grief is love that has no place to go… I was so angry with God. Why would that weight be given to Ian?” [🎥: @GMA]
@DionneGrant @GMA "Grief is love that has no place to go." This poignant and honest statement just made me sob for my own departed loved ones.
@DionneGrant @GMA i felt like i was holding my breath the whole time while watching this. such a powerful way to talk about this. devastating of course. but beautiful how she didn’t forsake him or his choice. she champions him in a REAL way that a mom’s unconditional love seems it should be.
@DionneGrant @GMA My goodness this is so heartbreaking to watch. I read the same words earlier but to just see her grief for her baby boy is shattering. So much wisdom in this video though, and I imagine she hopes it helps others, and I’m sure it will.
@DionneGrant @GMA 😭🕊️⚪️ This is the epitome of a mother’s love: unconditional, boundless, and timeless.
@DionneGrant @GMA Also the fact that she helped him fight for so long and seek different therapy treatments and meds…. She tried her best to help. He’s not in pain any more. Just incredibly sad tho
@DionneGrant @GMA I have admired her for many years and was so sorry when this occurred. I look forward to watching this interview.
@DionneGrant @GMA I feel her pain. I lost my boy through illness. We are never supposed to go first. The grief is endless.
@DionneGrant @GMA Praying for her, can’t be a pain worse than this 💔
