Minister Matawalle, Emir of Maradun, Thousands of Worshippers Offer Special Prayers for President Tinubu Prayer is a duty Nigerians owe their country and their leader, says Emir of Maradun President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s success over another four years will elevate Nigeria to heights never attained under any previous administration, Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle @Bellomatawalle1 , declared on Friday May 29, 2026 during a special prayer session held at the Maradun Emirate Palace shortly after Juma’at prayers. The prayer session attracted thousands of worshippers who offered supplications for President Tinubu, the peace and progress of Nigeria, and the continued success of the current administration. Speaking at the prayer session, HM Matawalle, the former Governor of Zamfara State, expressed confidence like many patriotic Nigerians that President Tinubu was divinely destined to reposition and rebuild the nation. According to him, the President’s emergence reflected the collective conviction of Nigerians that the time for meaningful transformation had arrived. “We must continue to pray for the development of Nigeria and against any internal or external conspiracies directed at our country and our President. Nothing worthwhile comes easy,” the Minister stated. Emphasizing the significance of prayer, HM Matawalle said “Prayers move mountains. Prayers know no boundaries. Supplication is the essence of worship. More things are accomplished through prayer than many people can ever imagine. Prayer remains the key to success. These and many other sayings remind us that human capability is limited when not strengthened by divine intervention.” “God created all languages and understands every tongue. Therefore, let us call upon Him in whichever language we know best. God created all of humanity and knows every individual among mankind. Let us therefore invoke Him sincerely and wholeheartedly.” “Many Nigerians today are praying for Nigeria, their only home on earth, and for their leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Such prayers are answered because love for one’s nation is an integral part of faith in Islam.” “The difference in governance is becoming evident in Nigeria today. Under President Tinubu’s leadership, the nation is witnessing positive transformation, supported by the collective prayers of Nigerians.” In his remarks, the Emir of Maradun, His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad Garba Tambari, described President Tinubu as a precious gift bestowed upon Nigeria by Almighty Allah. “And now that Allah has blessed Nigeria with the desired and long-awaited President, we must make the best use of this divine gift. It is our responsibility to pray for him and for our country,” the Emir said. The Emir further underscored the importance of continuous prayers, stating “There is a poetic expression which says: ‘Allah becomes displeased when His servants fail to ask Him, while mankind often becomes displeased when asked.’ Another saying teaches that Allah loves a believer who constantly turns to Him in prayer.” “Allah never becomes tired of hearing and answering sincere supplications. He loves and rewards those who pray sincerely for their fellow human beings without their knowledge. Such sincerity attracts divine blessings, and Allah grants the worshipper similar goodness in return.” The Emir called on Muslims across the country to intensify prayers for the restoration of lasting peace, stability, and security in Nigeria. He also appealed to citizens to continue supporting government efforts in the challenging task of governance. Additionally, he urged all Nigerians to fear Allah (SWT) in the discharge of their responsibilities, stressing that righteousness and sincerity would attract divine assistance in overcoming the nation’s current economic challenges.
