My Tesla prevented an accident . Before my brain could process what was happening my car stopped abruptly and resumed running after the dashing boy cleared the path.I couldn’t have prevented this on my own and the aftermath is tragic and unimaginable. Thank you Elon.

I’ll look up the full Tesla 2026.26.6.5 / FSD v14.3.8 notes and compare them to the prior FSD version so we can see what actually changed.This is 2026.26.6.5 with FSD (Supervised) v14.3.8. On a 2026 Model Y that’s a Hardware 4 / AI4 car, so you get the full v14.3.8 stack, not the HW3 “Lite” version. Two different things are bundled here. FSD itself: small step, same official notes Tesla’s FSD notes for v14.3.8 are the same text as v14.3.7 and v14.3.6. So if you were already on 14.3.6 or 14.3.7, Tesla is not claiming a new driving feature set. This is a point release / merge build. The notes that have been attached to this 14.3 branch: •Better reinforcement-learning training → more consistent behavior in a lot of everyday situations •Better vision encoder → rain, night, odd lighting, 3D layout, traffic signs •New AI compiler (MLIR) → Tesla claims ~20% faster reaction time •Less lane hugging / tailgating •More decisive parking (predicted spot shows as a P on the map) •Better response to emergency vehicles, school buses, people running lights •Better handling of small animals and objects hanging into the lane •Better complex traffic lights (compound lights, curves, yellows) •Recovers from brief system glitches without forcing a disengagement as often •Stricter driver monitoring (gaze, glasses, lighting) •Same model family across FSD, Smart Summon, and Robotaxi v14.3.7 was mainly to fix jumpy / stuttery braking that showed up in 14.3.6. v14.3.8 is more of the same polish plus putting that FSD on the new Summer firmware. Expect smoother city driving and quicker reactions, not a brand-new Autopilot. The bigger change: Summer Update finally sits on current FSD Until this build, HW4 owners often had to choose: latest FSD (on older 2026.21.x firmware) or Summer Update features (on 2026.26.x without the newest 14.3). This is the first North America HW4 build that gives you both. If you were still on a pre–Summer Update firmware, these are the new cabin / nav pieces: •Grok can do more — calls, music, climate, “what’s in this update?”, Controls search, Hey Grok •Automatic Navigation — suggests regular stops (gym, drop-off), not just Home/Work/calendar •Preferred Routes — nav favors roads you actually use •Set arrival energy from the phone app •Self-Driving stats in the Tesla app (need app ~4.59+) •Caraoke with scoring •Camera preview while driving •Speed cameras on the route, Supercharger search by name •Custom wraps from the phone, rear-screen lock, browser camera/mic for parked video calls (Meet/Teams/Discord) •Range estimate that accounts for battery aging •Visualization zoom preference, welcome animation on newer 3/Y, etc. Traction modes (Auto / Slippery / Stuck Assist) are listed in the Summer package; availability can be model-specific. Bottom line •If you already had FSD 14.3.7: driving should feel like a refinement, not a new product. The win is getting Summer features without dropping back an FSD branch. •If you were on older FSD or on Summer firmware without 14.3: you get both the 14.3 driving stack and the mid-year cabin/nav stuff in one install. Still supervised — stay ready to take over, especially at the end of a trip (parking/arrival is still the weak spot testers mention). After it finishes, a scroll-wheel reboot is worth doing if anything feels off.
