Allah states "ask of Me, so that I give to you". Dua strengthens bond with Allah. But shaitan makes you feel down - makes you feel that your duas not accepted etc. Feeling down is sign that shaitan has got a hold, not befitting of Muslim. We should leave it to Allah.
Clean clothes get dirty through the day, in our environment of rain, dirt etc, so we have to wash them regularly. Same with iman. Dirt of world comes on it. (Keep place in house for salah and zikr, angels will congregate there.) Morning breakfast is food for body, but..
In this world there are poor people and wealthy people. This is due to Allah ta'ala's wisdom. It is our duty to be satisfied with our circumstances. Every human being whether wealthy or poor, is in need of peace of the heart and it is difficult to spend a life without peace.
Zikr in abundance - forgiveness and big reward in Jannah. Have lots of assets, palaces etc. Reward not delayed, palaces etc built as soon as do zikr. Zikr is currency for your Jannah, so do in abundance, ie by heart, so will be doing it all the time. Allah showed Hadhrat Sahib..

Anything to remind you of Allah, salah etc, is zikr, but special status to do just ismizaat, ie say just Allah. Those that do so stop end of world. Mishkat hadith, say Allah, Allah (ie repeated), main zikr of Naqshbandi silsila, have to do abundantly. Like washing machine..
