We've just published various fixes and improvements to the Aether remaster, including visual fixes, UI fixes, and reworked follow behaviour for Moas. Download it now on Curseforge or Modrinth!
A new patch for The Aether is now available, including for 1.20.4! We're also announcing that, once the mod reaches 1.21, we will likely be dropping support for versions before 1.20.2 as we start to prioritise newer versions and other projects.

We have published a hotfix (version 1.3.1) to all versions of the Aether remaster to address some minor issues with the 1.3 update. You can download it now on Curseforge or Modrinth
A new patch for the Aether remaster is now available, as well as support for 1.20.2! Check out the full changelog for a list of fixes and additions, and we're happy to announce that 1.20.4 support is also in the works Download now on Modrinth or Curseforge!
The Sheer Tundra! A part of the Aether whose terrain is so inhospitable that trees aren't able to take root. Primarily populated with dense mosses, short skyroot bushes, and sweeping fields of arctic flowers. While the ground is hard and often frozen, snow is less common here
The Frozen Lakes are home to the wyvern-like Varanys, they lurk in caves and under ice lakes waiting for prey to stumble into their view. Their horns allow them to burst out of the ice to ambush unsuspecting intruders, but their lack of hind legs make them slow on land
The Enduring Woodland biome is made up of dense skypine forests, which protect the surface from harsh winds and snow. Flowers, grasses, ferns, and mosses flourish here, travelling creatures are able to make their homes outside without the need for caves
The Frigid Sierra features tall islands, snowy mountaintops, and rare greatboa trees. The harsh climate of the Sierra causes animals to nest under trees and inside the mountain caves for warmth Deep snow, unstable ice, and tall cliffs make traversing the Sierra quite a challenge!

Over the next few days we'll be showcasing new biome concepts for Aether II Starting off with a general overview of the main three biome themes They make up the 12 most common Aether biomes that will be featured in Aether II, most of the mod's content can be found in these areas
@DevAether Honestly this has me very excited to see the Aether 2 Update now seeing how thought out each of these biomes look, I just know I will be likely basing somewhere in the Magnetic Scar area of the Magnetic Hills biomes for like a really good Mining Airship kind of base

@DevAether Maybe make some or a few items with just some fun, cool or useful effects that aren't armor or weapons, would maybe add something extra to do like maybe make potion ingredients or maybe just crops at all that could be something cuz I feel like I remember it lacking in just items.
@DevAether I will improve the dungeons. The mechanics are cool, but the bosses and decorations are quite underwhelming. Also I prefer It to be like the nether, you can bring and use tools from the overworld but you need something from the dimension, like the netherite thing
@DevAether Personally I'd update the animations of the mobs to be on par with modern versions of the game, like have the Aerwhales actually move their tails as they fly through the air and such
@DevAether Maybe a bit of a low hanging fruit, but I'd love more biomes! I could list off some ideas if you'd like! The other thing that would go great with new biomes is new wood types. Wood sets are always some of my favorite souvenirs from other dimensions.
@DevAether Honestly I think it would be a pipedream and would likely work better through another team but like an Airship mod connected to the Aether through like Create I think would be cool, or atleast a Create-Aether crossover mod. Perhaps a Fabric version as well would be cool

@DevAether A specific route in order to Progress. Maybe a few "Quests" and Side Missions so you don't get bored. But overall more or less an Overhaul regarding the System. Since what i , and probably others are missing, is a longer Playthrough
@DevAether Honestly, when i tried to record it a few Days ago with a Friend, it really just felt a bit empty. Even for a single Mod. We pretty much finished the Modpack in 2ish Hours without much trouble. I would really appreciate a Progression type of System. Being forced to go a /
