@bulliesinblue MH ‘care’ is a joke.has been for years. Hence cuckooing is rife. professionals are either off sick bcoz they’re overwhelmed or would rather go to meetings & have caseloads of around 500. Many have left. community care was passed from MH nurses to social workers yrs ago.

Ollie was imported from overseas after a family applied to adopt him here in the UK. Tragically, when he arrived at what was supposed to be his forever home, nobody answered the door. The family had changed their minds, leaving this young boy stuck in a transporters van with nowhere to go. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that no checks had been carried out and nobody had met the adopters before Ollie was flown into the UK. We cannot stress enough how irresponsible this is. Rescues have a duty of care to the animals they place, and transporting a dog internationally without proper checks and safeguards puts them at enormous risk. It is a practice we do not condone and one that could have ended far worse for Ollie. We received a desperate call to help Ollie, and stepped in immediately yo offer him the safety and security he deserved. Despite all of this, Ollie is an absolutely incredible boy. He has the biggest heart, a beautiful nature, and a wonderfully cheeky Malamute personality that shines through. Sadly, his coat has also been shaved right down to the skin, apparently in an attempt to keep him cool. As many of you will know, double-coated breeds such as Malamutes should not be shaved as their coats help regulate their temperature and protect their skin. A delivery driver covertly showed our six year old daughter to an unknown person on a video call. We were told no criminal offence had been committed. This account exists because we believe that should change. We have created this account to raise awareness of what we believe is a gap in UK law affecting children’s privacy. Last month, a JustEat delivery driver came to deliver our food order, and my wife and six year old daughter answered the door. Less than two minutes later, he returned to our door claiming he needed the delivery code again. This second interaction with the driver made my wife feel uneasy, as he seemed more focused on our daughter than the delivery code. My wife later discovered from our doorbell footage that the driver had covertly shown our six year old daughter to an unknown person on a video call. The footage clearly shows the driver’s phone screen being pointed at our daughter and him checking the screen while doing so. The other person’s camera was switched off. We reported the incident to West Yorkshire Police, believing that covertly showing a child to an unknown third party under these suspicious circumstances would be a criminal offence. We were subsequently informed that no criminal offence had been identified. The police accepted that the behaviour was unusual and concerning, but advised that the driver’s actions did not amount to a crime under current law. We also reported the incident to JustEat. Following its own investigation, JustEat swiftly removed the driver from its platform. However, being removed from one platform does not necessarily prevent someone from working for others. West Yorkshire police informed us that they would make enquiries to locate the driver and do some background checks. JustEat confirmed the police still hadn’t been in touch with them, so we tried to contact the officer who came out to speak to us. We were told that a message would be passed on for him to contact us, but that they couldn’t guarantee when that would be as, “the officer explained at the time that there were no criminal offences”. We are still waiting for West Yorkshire police to contact us. One of the most difficult aspects of this incident has been not knowing why it happened. We tried to think of innocent explanations for the driver’s behaviour and discussed these with the police, but we were left with significant unanswered questions. We still do not know who our daughter was shown to, why she was shown to them, or what became of the video call afterwards. As parents, that uncertainty has been very upsetting. We were shocked and upset to learn that the driver’s actions did not amount to a criminal offence under current law. We feel there needs to be legal reform to address situations where children are covertly filmed, photographed, or shown to third parties under suspicious circumstances. We believe the law should give police greater powers to investigate incidents involving children where there is clear evidence of suspicious behaviour, even where no specific offence has yet been identified. Under current law, West Yorkshire police told us that they cannot even check his phone to see who he was showing her to, because there needs to be evidence of an actual crime before this can be done. It is our opinion that this is a significant gap in the law that should be addressed. Our next step is to contact our MP and explore options for reform. We may also launch a petition in the future. We believe this case highlights a gap in the law that may leave children insufficiently protected in certain circumstances. To be clear, we will never be releasing any of the footage from this incident. Our daughter’s privacy has already been violated by this man. We will not be violating it any further by sharing the doorbell footage online. West Yorkshire police have the footage. But guess what? He soon breached his sexual harm prevention order after sending texts to a teenage girl. But again he was allowed to walk free on a community order!! Harvard grad quits executive job after boss calls his idea to save his dying dog “unrealistic.” He had the kind of career people brag about. Harvard graduate, executive title, big salary, everything he was supposed to want. But when his senior dog started losing the ability to walk, he asked for time off to build something that could let him still move around the house and enjoy the life he had left. Instead, his job reportedly told him he needed to choose between work and what they called an “unrealistic idea to save a dying dog.” So he chose the dog. He quit, went home, and built a custom rail system through his house with a small wooden bed attached, almost like a stairlift made for a senior dog. At first, people laughed at the idea. Then the photos went viral. Other families with disabled and aging pets started reaching out, asking if he could build one for them too. What started as one man refusing to let his best friend spend his final years stuck in a corner has now turned into a growing company helping other senior dogs get around their homes again
