This is why the game key card argument is a completely separate thing in my mind. Does it require a download? Yes. But nearly every game does these days, especially over time. But it's still a physical product that you can sell/gift when you're done. Completely different imo.

Loss of game ownership and preservation is real and concerning, but it isn't new. This has been happening through required downloads and frequent game updates for over a decade. What is new is the loss of the secondhand market, which is objectively worse for the consumer.

@AndreSegers @BrerOswald Hard disagree. Think Galaxy did such a better job of building the video game world and non-Mario character arcs. Peach and Bowser are better, more full characters in Galaxy. Luigi is actually relevant. Jr, Yoshi, and Fox of all characters are all good. I don't think 1 compares.
