I want to point something out that isn't often discussed. Even if Donald Trump died in his sleep this week sometime, there's a dedicated group of people who have been in a laborious chamber preparing to take over the control of the United States of America. You know this. You even know who some of them are. It's understandable that with the mainstream media's silence on this issue, it can slip from our immediate thoughts. However, it's our responsibility not to let it fade into the recesses of our minds, where it may feel more comfortable to ignore. Comfort here, however, is very dangerous, and these are the very things we must keep at the forefront of our minds. To forget them is at our own peril. Many threats remain to democracy and the United States of America, even in the absence of Donald Trump.

Couple things I want to clarify re: these protests. 1. No, I’m not going to outright condemn all of the protesters — protesting is a fundamentally American thing to do, and we all have a right to do so peacefully. (We should all also have concerns over what’s happening in Gaza.) 2. I’m also not going to pretend like it’s OK to break into buildings and illegally occupy them. 3. Nor will I pretend like this is all a bunch of students who just happened to come together because they’re upset about what’s happening in Gaza. There’s some serious social engineering happening here, and it’s intellectually dishonest—and dangerous—to pretend like this is all organic. If you don’t believe me, look at all the non-students who are being arrested on these campuses. 4. Finally, if you are going to allow your protest to turn into outright civil disobedience, please don’t ask the internet to bring you vegan food. It makes you look silly.🤦‍♂️
