In my opinion it's quite simple what needs to happen at Chelsea over the next few weeks and months. The owners need to accept the shit storm that is about to hit them and not hide from it like they did with Graham Potter. They have chosen this model, they have decided to buy young talented footballers from all over the world and rebuild the team. This model does not yield a top 4 spot in 1 or 2 seasons. It will take years to implement & I am confident the sporting directors are fully aware of this. The owners need to accept the criticism that is coming over the next few months and back Pochettino. What he said in his press conference is exactly right, "of course they feel dissapointed but at the same time they need to support the plan". If the owners crumble and give in to all the media pressure & sack Pochettino then it won't be long before the fanbase turn on them. They need to stick by their decisions no matter how rough it gets over the remainder of the season. The only way this model works is if they have the balls to stand against the media & give Pochettino 1 or 2 seasons to work with this squad.
@DeanCFC_ Well said Dean. Sadly its clear to me that backbone and values are not qualities that Eghbali holds. I'm reconciled to the fact we will not start the journey to get back to where we are until they get fed up and sell.
@DeanCFC_ saying it will take years to implement is ridiculous, Tuchel got a bang average side playing like one of the best in europe in months, yes we had more experienced players in the squad but if we aren't massively improved by January MP needs to be looked at
@DeanCFC_ 💯 firing Poch is not the answer — they’ve dug a hole and put Poch inside with no ladder to get out…
@DeanCFC_ If they sack poch Chelsea football club is officially done No top class manager would come and manage a circus of a club like that
@DeanCFC_ The thing that needs addressing is the financial fair play aspect. If we don’t get back into one of the European comps we will be in financial trouble. It won’t go away by ignoring it
