Most consumers do not prefer trustless solutions that demand even a tiny amount of technical literacy to custody, spend or trade. They will happily trust someone to abstract that complexity and risk management away from them in exchange for an application layer and a fee. Financial liberty is not their highest priority. Convenience is. Ironically, most naive investors in these solutions lack the requisite discipline, analytical rigor and honest skepticism to identify whether the investment opportunity being marketed to them is actually in trustless tech instead of just nominally so. They are content to outsource their thinking to a trusted party, while at the same time heralding the mainstream adoption of a trustless future that they themselves don't even want in practice.

Today I listened to the entire 2 hour Clarity Act Hearing. What is clear, is that regulation is not coming to save most of crypto.....it's coming to separate the wheat from the chaff. Just as Musk and Garlinghouse said - 99% of it is useless and probably going to zero...especially if you don't even hold an L1 token: STEIL: "Is it fair to say that without blockchain technology, Helium would not exist? In other words, are blockchain and digital assets fundamental to Helium's business model rather than simply being an added feature?" ABERG: "Absolutely. The network would not exist without blockchain. The network operates across 140,000 unique access points deployed by thousands of individuals and small businesses. That's a distributed, decentralized network infrastructure. That infrastructure needs to be coordinated between all these discrete points. Blockchain is the technology that allows us to do that." STEIL: "So knowing that, what's the real-world consequences of the lack of clarity in this space from a regulatory standpoint for your business trying to deploy internet and access to consumers across the country?" ABERG: "So the status quo is that there's not a distinction between tokens that operate a functional network like Helium and tokens that are sold as part of an investment contract and for raising capital. We suffer the consequence of that directly on January 17th, 2025. Thankfully those claims were dismissed. But right now, without codification of that into law, we could face those exact same claims again under a new administration, new chairman of the SEC."

I've been teaching people how to do this for a year now, and no one has cared until Simon agreed with me. There is much worse than lack of burns.....

@TheKingKoozie The crazy part is now they are all focused on burns, as if the company lying about that was even their biggest issue. The biggest issue is its a useless SPL that is arbitrarily bought and resold by a centralized company for no reason at all related to utility. Its a meme coin.
