With the possible exception of Microsoft in the late 90s, there has never been a tech monopoly as powerful as Apple. Its power is so feared that few application companies will dare to criticize Apple publicly even though almost all privately voice similar concerns as @elonmusk.
@DavidSacks @elonmusk Sacks what do you and elon disagree on?
@DavidSacks @elonmusk Apple had less than 25% of the smartphone market this time last year. That's their flagship product. Hardly a monopoly. Nothing to see, or fear, here... 🤷🏻
@DavidSacks @elonmusk By coincidence there never was a better success story for a tech company that started at the garage, almost went through bankruptcy, made astonishing comeback, reinvented and defined the whole sector of economy. But yeah, 28% of market pales in comparison with 95% Windows record
@DavidSacks @elonmusk But what’s wrong with App Store charging 30% cut? Aren’t they providing their real estate in the form of Apple Hardware? In fact Facebook and Twitter does the same thing. So I am not sure why people are bothered about their monopoly.
@DavidSacks @elonmusk What monopoly? You will still be able to access Twitter via any browser even on an Apple device 😂
@DavidSacks @elonmusk A monopoly with only 25% of market share? Sure, dude, sure. Maybe don't tweet on iPhone if you dislike them so much. 🤷♂️
@DavidSacks @elonmusk Apple has no problem with China's TicTok but they have a problem with Twitter? Why exactly is that?
