.@michaeljknowles debates marriage and divorce with @pearlythingz: “I oppose divorce in all circumstances. That’s a Conservative view, not a Liberal view.” Pearl: “I guess maybe I’m Liberal in that one.” Michael: “I think you are Liberal in a lot of ways, I think the red pill [movement] is Liberal in a lot of ways.”
@MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz This kind of absolutism is frightening. So if my wife tries to murder me, I'm obligated to stay married to her?
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz I love when y’all give extreme and overtly rare and extreme cases to normalize the normal or the usual Nobody in their right mind would stay with a murderer as a partner I don’t know what you were thinking Probably you weren’t but this should be common sense
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz I'm 100% glad I divorced my skank ex-wife. I will never regret it. I remarried and have 4 beautiful children and are fully committed to each other.
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz You live apart for safety, but if you move on and have another relationship, it is still adultery. The marriage is not void unless for some reason it can be annulled, which just means it was never a marriage to begin with for very specific reasons.
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz Yes, that’s based
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz The conservative rules discussed here won’t make much sense to non-Christians. It’s not fair to burden non-believers with a Christ centered life. The Gospel is sufficient. Begin there. If a decision is made to trade, to sacrifice your life for His the rest will become more clear.
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz A divorce does not have to be agreed upon by both people to go ahead, only one person needs to file for divorce (at least that how it works in my country). If the person has come out to try and kill you before asking for a divorce then there are other issues present.
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz No. You can separate but not remarry. Marriage is for life according to Jesus Christ.
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz You are not obligated to live with her, but I don’t see how the separation would automatically give you a license to remarry, no.
@DavidRadcliff @MKnowlesShow @michaeljknowles @pearlythingz Stay married yes - stay together no.
