In reality, the dynamic Morris Day & Jerome Benton had onstage was an extension of the one Prince had with Morris Day that was incorporated into the act. Jerome's dynamic with Prince worked in "Under The Cherry Moon", The Family & he had the same role on tour with The Revolution.
Prince never got enuf flack for being so mad at Morris that he basically took Jerome and tried to be Morris in "Under The Cherry Moon" and it aint work. 😂
There was a Utrecht Art Supplies store on 333 Mass. Ave above a Symphony Green Line station. We'd go there for black books, art supplies, markers, pens, etc. It was here I got deeper into my love of pens after the specialty stores in Chinatown that sold pens & mechanical pencils.
