My client's former agent didn't negotiate his NIL collective agreement. Didn't find the opportunity or review the contract. Now, the former agent lawyered up and sent a demand letter seeking a 10% commission, threatening the player's family. Be careful of these "agents."
@DarrenHeitner Things like this rarely shock me anymore but wow 😮
@DarrenHeitner That’s those “let me rep you, because i can get you _____” people. Those are the worse.
@DarrenHeitner So important to find an honest agent who puts their clients first.
@DarrenHeitner They want to be big boys so they better learn quick!
@DarrenHeitner For the love of money smh
@DarrenHeitner Not a surprise- have helped many who receive bad advice during their recruiting / NIL conversations. -No guardrails -Parents have no useful data -Kids exposed to bad actors at camps, combines, “trainers” 7-7, etc. pretending to help (but making $ directly or indirectly).
@DarrenHeitner Isn’t this where a Duke fan says, he signed it, pay it
@DarrenHeitner These people are literally ruining Cfb Careful what you ask for fellas
@DarrenHeitner As a lawyer, can you even fathom having your client sign a contract without even reviewing it? lol
