I fully believe that AI art is the biggest threat to diversity in the creative arts. Not only will it cost minorities their jobs behind the scenes, but it’ll also replace the few visible POC with hollow, fetishised representations shaped around the white gaze. Peak times ahead.

To be very clear, I’m not mad at the tech itself, it’s capable of some amazing things. But as with everything we create that has great potential, it’s about the people who use it. You can almost set your clock to the amount of time it takes for a new thing to be used for fuckery.

@DapsDraws This. Technology by its own self cannot (yet) inflict harm on another human being. It is humans (mis)using it, either unknowingly or knowingly, who do.
