"I don't say with words. I don't say with images. I show people. That's my true subject. It's all I know." --- Éric Rohmer
Remembering Éric Rohmer on his 104th birth anniversary. La Collectionneuse (1967) Ma nuit chez Maud (1969) Le genou de Claire (1970) L'amour, l'après-midi (1972)
@DannyDrinksWine Please, could you tell me the actress name on the third picture ?
@DannyDrinksWine Nothing is more boring than a Rohmer film for me.... 💤
@DannyDrinksWine No narrative stakes. No character motivation. No camera movement. No soundtrack. No avant-grade flourishes. Most boring films ever made (except Rayon Vert💚)
@DannyDrinksWine That’s kind of ironic because Rohmer films are the most dialogue heavy of any European director, in fact, his characters are incapable of silence 🙂
