These ladies deserve so much more… Praying for the day 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 l
@DangeRussWilson @billburr sums it up pretty well
@DangeRussWilson Go to their games and support them then. That's how it works.
A few questions for you, Mr. Wilson, respectfully: 1) Do you know how little revenue the WNBA generates? 2) Do you know why the WNBA generates so little revenue? 3) Have you read the WNBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement and how little of the league's paltry annual revenue is shared with its players? If you knew the answers to those questions, you would not say those "ladies deserve" more than what they're getting. Clark is a rookie in a league that doesn't generate much revenue to begin with. That's why the average annual salary of a WNBA player is only around $102k. The WNBA simply is not a product people want to volitionally support with their dollars, and unless and until that changes, the players' salaries will continue to reflect that reality.
@DangeRussWilson That’s crazy! Her NIL/endorsements are greater than her 4 yr contract 🤦🏽♀️. When will we see equal pay in the W????
I love her and think she is a great role model for young female athletes. I don’t think they deserve to be paid equal to men who are better than her at the sport and more entertaining. Women can be better than men at many things but basketball isn’t one of them. I played sports all of my life and could beat many of the boys up until about the age of 18. That is a nice chunk of change she will make and hopefully she uses her opportunities to brand herself with a good product to market and get decent sponsors.
@DangeRussWilson If there are no crowds in the stands. You don’t get paid millions. Go back to school and learn how businesses work.
Why? She should be EXTREMELY grateful she gets this salary along with millions in endorsements. Do NOT live your life with covetnousness. (Hebrews 13:5) "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
@DangeRussWilson Based on the fact that almost no one watches the WNBA? The teams gets revenue from the networks, which get revenue from advertisers. With few viewers, ad rates are low.
@DangeRussWilson She gets paid less than most of your season bonuses. Over four years. Why don't you athletes that are so vocal about these things buy into the league and change it? Or is it just "Man... Sucks to be you."
