How big of a deal is wind direction this time of year? Well… it’ll be 85 in Atlantic City, NJ with a SW wind while we struggle to about 60 with a SE wind. Classic New England.
Severe thunderstorm warning now for this cell near the Hudson River. Large hail and gusty winds possible!
Some action starting to fire up across the area. Locally heavy rainfall is possible through the evening.
Scattered pop up showers and storms late this afternoon could be fed by a bit of instability while a sea breeze front aids with localized lift. Interested to see how these develop. Heads up between 4PM and 8PM, especially across Western and Central CT.

We’ve hit 70 degrees for the second consecutive day here in Danbury! I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy. We snap back to reality tomorrow as a frontal system approaches bringing rain to the doorstep by early evening. 5PM is pictured below.
A powerful Nor'easter hammered the region 17 years ago today, April 15, 2007, causing widespread flooding, damage, and destruction to many homes and businesses across southwestern Connecticut. Weston received 7.5" of rain.
A warm one today! Up to 75 degrees officially in Danbury and Meriden this afternoon. It’s breezy out there as well, with wind gusts to 30mph across the state. 🔥
The SPC has ugpgraded severe thunderstorm risk for parts of the area tomorrow afternoon and evening. The main severe mode will be damaging winds.
