I said this same thing sometime ago, but the style of Burton's BATMAN lends itself 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 well to silent film aesthetics. Keep the Elfman score, and it's a match made in expressionist heaven.

@DWLundberg still waiting for Burton to realize and admit that Batman '89 is one of his very best films, if not his absolute best. reading James Gunn's screed cursing the film was enough to make me uninterested in anything that guy will ever make.
