I often find myself needing to struggle past my prejudices in order to open myself up to the value beyond. It’s so easy to dismiss anything based on expectation. It’s so easy to find reason to invalidate anything before we even ‘click the link’.

Texture and dynamics are at least as important to a phrase as the notes in the path. The empty spaces are at least as important as the space you fill. Leave space!!! Work out in context, and on your own equipment.

Find better ways to get from important note to important note. Linger on the more important notes longer. Any note can be important, depending on what you are trying to say.
