🇯🇵🇺🇸 "Ukraine of today may be East Asia of tomorrow" - new "Zelensky" just dropped in US Congress in the form of Japanese PM Fumio Kishida.
@DD_Geopolitics Let's hope not. "Ukraine of today may be East Asia of tomorrow." Ukraine has lost 31,000 troops to hear Volodymyr Zelenskyy tell it or 445,000 according to Sergei Shoigu. Hopefully, Fumio Kishida won't threaten to host nuclear weapons like Zelenskyy did 5 days before the war.
@DD_Geopolitics "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools."
@DD_Geopolitics …, vassals do what vassals must.
"If Ukraine cannot depend on US support. Can we?" ~ Fumio Kishida, Japanese MP ~ Trust in America, among their allies, is eroding by the minute. The congress claps for what is in reality a dismissal of their inaction and an urgent call for their leadership to return. Japanese are soft spoken, so this can be regarded a strong call. Their worries cannot be solved with kind words on cooperation. The proof in the pudding is resuming support to Ukraine.
@DD_Geopolitics We could be Ukraine, he proposes, and is affirmed with a standing ovation from Congress.
@DD_Geopolitics I feel bad for Japan. Embarrassing. US also with Joe Biden. Terrible era.
