Had the incredible chance to tour WMATA’s Dulles Yard with DCNRHS today! Being able to tour a Metro yard has been a dream of mine forever. So many behind-the-scenes operations to see and hear about. Super interesting and informative!

@GreatLaya @wmata Got very lucky with the 1976 one. The 2026 manual was given out at the 50th Anniversary ride back in March. Not sure if they'll have more copies at the pop-up shop or other 50th events in June.
Metro Owner’s Manual 50 years apart! Here’s an original @wmata “Owner’s Manual” which was a promotional insert in the Washington Star from March 1976 compared to the 2026 50th Anniversary Edition! The 1976 future map is pretty close, minus the Silver Line.

In Boston riding the @MBTA! So many different forms of transit operated under the T and tons of history as the oldest running subway in the US!
Visited the @smithsonian American History Museum to see the new @wmata “Access the Revolution” display! So on point with the Metro iconography that there’s a sign informing visitors it’s not a real Metro station!
