After a two month hiatus (to recover from hundreds of rejections) it's back on with applying for jobs. I'm still - two years on - looking for a copywriting / proofreading / editing / design job, any job. Can rite reel gud.

Did #zxspectrum games get better over time, or did the newsstand magazines resort to grade inflation? Or both? 🤔 Presented without comment, here's a chart of the number of games reviewed in CRASH per year (y-axis 1, red line) and the average rating given (y-axis 2, blue line).
Ah, Pirate Software. You came, you were awful, you disappeared. And it turns out you really were pirates, with many of your games (those by Harry S Price) straight up rips of existing commercial releases. O.K. Yah! is a title I bought and own. It is not good.
Fun with data. 🤓 The most prolific single software label in CRASH review history is... US Gold, with 107 titles (including compilations). That surprised me. And the amount they spent on advertising must have been mindboggling. Ocean/Imagine too.
The average CRASH score for Ocean games in 1987? 64%. Great: Tai-Pan, Wizball Pretty good: Double Take, Short Circuit Bang average: Mutants Crap: Donkey Kong, Highlander, It's a Knockout, Mario Bros

@RobertJenrick Prosecute the officials for negligence. Prosecute the priest for aiding and abetting. Prosecute the RNLI for bringing him here. Put a parachute on him and fly him over Afghanistan with a soldier's boot for launch control.
Every Official involved in the release of illegal immigrant, sex offender, Abdul Ezedi, should be arrested and charged with aiding his violent attack. If these Officials were held responsible for their stupidity, they might think twice before releasing another criminal. @MoJGovUK
