It's a Labour pysop to talk about Thatcher. The failed state we are now living under is entirely a Blair/Brown creation. The Supreme Court, the unaccountable Bank of England, the Human Rights Act, Tax Credits, Equality Act, Climate Crisis etc - it's all them.

@Jenny_1884 Same here but trying to get my results from a colonoscopy I had on Good Friday is a different matter.

@Wulf_Helm I lived through the 70s and 80s and I know which decade I’d happily live through again and it isn’t the 70s

@donmcgowan Not anti-immigration, anti illegal immigration, there’s a difference.

@CatharineHoey @mollygiles2015 I’ve been saying this for years. As a society all we hear is inclusivity here, there and everywhere but where is inclusivity when it relates to the elderly or those with brain injuries who can’t navigate app after app just to function in today’s society?

If it costs £6000 per month to keep an old person in a care home (along with probably 50 others) how come if they live at home they’re expected to exist on around £900 per month? Which, incidentally, this government and the Tories want to reduce.

Mary Wakefield made this point brilliantly in The Spectator. You can pull up to a corner store, swipe a bottle of vodka on cctv and never fear arrest. But do 21mph in the getwaway car and the cameras will get you. Digital vs real-life policing is the real two-tier

@bbcquestiontime They may be vetted and may have to provide links to their social media accounts, that doesn’t mean that they’re not hand picked based on their left wing bias

I’ve just watched a whole BBC documentary about the rapid increase in cancer among the young.. It explored food & lifestyle choices, even body sprays & plastics. Not once tho, did they explore whether getting young healthy people vaccinated over & over with a product that had no long term health data, may have played a role🤔

Unclassified documents have surfaced confirming that actually Putin is correct - NATO had promised not to move one inch eastward and that Eastern Europe was to be a buffer zone of neutrality. NATO has been the agressor and they are NOT ever interested in peace because if there was really peace, then there is no need for NATO and all those people would lose jobs. Of course, mainstream media just read the Neocon script and keep propelling us into World War III. They do not care about the country or the people. Investigative journalism is gasping its last breaths.

You used to walk into a bank and hand a human a bit of paper. They understood what it was. Now the same transaction requires three apps, a password you last knew in 2023, a text code that arrives after the app lockout, a captcha gameshow contest in which you must correctly identify every blurred bicycle and a chatbot that glibly says “I understand your frustration”. Buying a sandwich used to involve money and a person. It now often requires Wi-Fi, a QR code that expired forty-seven seconds ago, two-factor authentication, and a phone perilously lurking at 1% battery while the app decides whether your own face looks sufficiently human enough actually to pass off as you. We used to lose our keys and get locked out. Now we get locked out of our own phone if we lose a password or it doesn’t even recognise our own face. You used to get lost and ask a stranger. Now you stare at a blue dot until the signal dies and realise you have no idea which way is north and the the satellite navigation map would like to know your precise location forever in exchange for the privilege of being wrong. Customer service used to be a person. It is now a massive FAQ articulated b a robot who has never seen the product, followed by “was this helpful?”, then a survey about the survey on the standard of customer service. The queue had people in it. The chatbot has a script and an inability to deal with specific questions. We swapped paper maps for phones that need signal, paper tickets for apps that crash at the barrier and paper books for subscriptions that vanish the moment a company “updates its terms.” Meanwhile, the countryside is being paved with data centres so an algorithm can generate a picture of a cat in a tiny hat and you still get a hosepipe ban because it was sunny for four days despite the data centre guzzling vast resources of water. Friends now socialise primarily through a group chat in which nobody has suggested the pub since March. The elderly require an adult child, a login and an IT degree just to see a doctor. Banks close. GPs go app-only. Parking, menus, council tax, pensions and the electricity bill all demand another code, another verification, another proof that you are not a robot trying to pay for your own heating bill. We are less free, more tracked, constantly interrupted and still late because the parking app crashed because of poor wifi signal in the street. But at least we correctly identified the online traffic lights in a captcha grid to prove we are human. Progress. Apparently.

We are quietly isolating an entire generation of older people from society, and nobody seems to give a damn. I took my 84-year-old grandfather to his local bank branch on Friday. The exact same brick-and-mortar branch where he opened his first account in 1978. We pull up to the front doors. They’re locked. Inside is an empty lobby with a small sign: “Cashless Service Hub.” A young guy in a polo shirt opens the door and tells us: “We don't handle teller deposits or paper checks here anymore. You just need to download the mobile portal and scan your routing number.” My grandfather pulls out an old flip phone with a cracked screen and a paper pension check from his coat pocket. His hands were visibly shaking. The employee just shrugs. “You can do it on an iPad, or have a family member manage the app for you.” This man worked forty-two years in a manufacturing plant. Paid his taxes. Fought for this country. And now he is made to feel completely useless and stripped of his dignity because he doesn't own an iOS device. Tech isn't making life easier if it completely locks out the people who built the world we’re living in. Are your elderly parents or grandparents running into this wall too?

BREAKING: 🔥 Trump Calls for Full Audit of Ukraine Funding 🔥 Donald Trump has demanded a complete audit of the billions sent to Ukraine, and the globalists—including Biden—must be terrified of what might emerge. For too long, Americans have been kept in the dark about where their hard-earned tax dollars are going. This audit could uncover shocking truths about corruption, mismanagement, and backdoor deals that serve the elite, not the people. Transparency is coming, and the globalist agenda is shaking. Buckle up.

@andyburnham The fact you started your tweet with “I want to be honest” tells us you’ll be anything but.

@LexiBeaChorlton @trussliz Totally agree

We all know that out of all the PMs we've had @trussliz was the best PM since Margaret Thatcher that the establishment never allowed us to have

@andyburnham NET ZERO - that’s why we’re paying a fortune and you know it.

Liz Truss was forced to resign when gilt yields reached 4.42%. Under Andy Burnham they are now standing at 6.00% Shouldn’t Andy Burnham resign or be calling a General election ?

“The fasten seat belts sign is on”. This is a message I received early this morning from one of the UK’s most experienced, savvy and respected financial traders. Someone I have come to know and trust for the last 25 years. 10-year bond yields are now almost 4.5pc - up some 50

Bev Turner - what a year she's had. I know GB News are changing things and Tom Harwood is going out to DC now - Tom's a nice lad, I like him, no issue there at all. But I do want to say something about Bev. That woman has trailblazed. 👇👇👇 She was the first British presenter to get the first question in that White House press room - that spot is usually reserved for the big US networks. She got two full, proper interviews with President Trump in less than 12 months, world exclusives that made headlines everywhere.💥 And remember Ireland - when she wasn't on Air Force One, Trump actually rang her to ask why she wasn't on board. She'd flown over from the UK to meet him there. That tells you everything - Trump can spot fake media a mile off, and he noticed when she wasn't there and trusted her enough to call. We are lucky to have that connection. A straight-talking British woman from Manchester in the White House press pack, holding her own. That didn't happen by accident, she built that trust. The press pack out there is vicious, highly competitive and ruthless, but Bev weathered the storm and built that bond Tom is very nice, polite but it isn't the UK . Bev was unique, She broke that door down. We so need that connection to continue. The British leadership is snubbing the US time and time again. We need a force to be reckoned with out there, Thank you Bev for putting GB News and Britain on the map over there. Hope we see you back on prime time soon. @beverleyturner @GBNEWS
