Excited to announce Just Income's Program Director, Kevin Scott, joined Santa Clara's Reentry Roundtable Webinar. Sharing insights on our work and the significance for Santa Clara's new Guaranteed Basic Income pilot for justice-involved individuals.
TODAY Commissioners Court voted to fund and implement Uplift Harris, a guaranteed income pilot program that will help families rise above poverty and strengthen all of Harris County. This is just one piece of our coordinated effort to deliver economic opportunity for all.
1 in 2 Americans can’t afford a $400 emergency. The same is true in Harris County. Today, we unveiled our Uplift Harris proposal – a pilot program, building on successful models across the nation and world, that would provide 1600 hard-working families with $500/mo for 18 months.
