NASA’s Juno spacecraft captured this view of Thebe, the second largest of Jupiter’s inner moons, during a close pass on May 1, 2026. Thebe is believed to play a role in the formation of the planet’s “gossamer” ring through the shedding of dust. Read more: go.nasa.gov/4uIqWpG
Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

@HollowScholar @NASA @NASAJPL If you look at the website DSN now, which tracks the missions nasa is using radio dishes to communicate with, it shows them receiving data from Juno. So it seems like it's still operational and they have some amount of funding to maintain it until a decision is made

今朝は月面衝突閃光の撮影中に、マイナス等級の流星が月面を通過しました。2025年11月14日午前5時11分43秒に平塚から撮影した様子（100fpsを0.1倍速）です。流星は高度100km前後で光る現象で、約38万km離れた月の手前を横切ります。明るい流星のトラックには、幅があることが分かります。

@JamesInSWGA It's thanks to republicans that the mission is facing cancellation in the first place. The White House is desperate to cancel it and as many nasa missions as possible, congress wants to fund it. Whatever suits your fantasy world i guess
