Today, I made a statement in the Chamber of the House of Commons about the passing of my late father, Doug. On the behalf of my family, thank you for all the kind messages over the last week, at what is a difficult time for us all.
@CommonsSpeaker My Condolences to Lindsay and all the family , Doug was a great Trade Unionist , member of Parliament and served diligently in the Lords . May he rest in peace ❤️❤️
I was first introduced to your dad by Margaret Wall back in 1983 on a visit to Parliament as a young Socialist when Margaret was an ASTMS official like Doug. I had the privilege of meeting Michael Foot and Dennis Skinner and watching Thatcher at PMQs. Met your mum too. It saddens me that both Margaret and your father succumbed to the Establishment purse but I nevertheless offer you heartfelt condolences from the Turner family here in Manchester. Your father back in 83 was a warm generous character.
@CommonsSpeaker Many condolences to you and your family, Lindsay. I remember your father with great fondness
@CommonsSpeaker You should be fired and resign for your bias actions towards the palestine people and how you LIED about giving the sno the debate you cancelled
@CommonsSpeaker I am so sorry to hear of your loss Sir Lindsay. Your father and mine both worked together with passion for the people of Chorley. My dearest sympathy to the family. Kind regards Graeme Gladwinfield
@CommonsSpeaker If the Son he raised is a reflection of the Himself. lord Hoyle must of been one amazing individual, It's always with such sadness we let go of our closest loved ones but also with humbleness we realise how lucky to have had these wonderful people in our lives
@CommonsSpeaker @eleanor4epping Did he have the vaccine?
@CommonsSpeaker Sending you my love, Sir Lindsay Hoyle. I know your heart must be broken and the loss will feel immense, but I hope you have love & support around you to carry you. I’m sure your father & daughter will be watching over you everyday, until you’re reunited again one day 🤍 🪽 🪽
