In Gateshead a young girl is blindfolded and dragged into an address by a grooming gang, she tries to escape but they drag her back. Northumbria Police turn up 2 hours later, they don't put the men in cuffs and just allow one of them to come back up to her outside the address. Northumbria Police were even offered this video as evidence but never came back to collect it. They commonly neglect evidence and then claim there isn't enough evidence to make any arrests.

I was talking to a workmate the other day. He's 32, and he started reminiscing about when he was at primary school. He said that back then, the town centre was packed every Saturday. You could spend the whole day there. WHSmith, Woolworths, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, M&S, Argos, Burton, Officers Club, Original Shoe... the list went on. "It was always busy," he said. "You'd go into town and it had everything. Clothes, shoes, somewhere to grab a bite. It just felt like the heart of the community." Then he shrugged. "Now? Half the shops are boarded up. Loads of empty units. It just feels dead. There's no atmosphere anymore." He wasn't just talking about the shops.
