Prepare your heart for the Day of Arafah. Plan to fast, and make the intention to pray Fajr on time, ideally in Jama’ah if you can. This is a day of immense mercy and forgiveness. Let’s not miss the opportunity to draw closer to Allah through du‘a, dhikr, and sincere reflection. May Allah allow us all to benefit from this blessed day, accept our fasting and du‘aas, and forgive our sins. Ameen.

Recite after every fard salah starting from: Fajr on 9th Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Arafah) Thursday 5 June until Asr on 13th Dhul-Hijjah (final day of Tashrīq) That makes it 5 days and 23 fard prayers in total. #collierrowmosque

28 May – Get Ready: The Greatest 10 Days of the Year Are Near. Dhul Hijjah Is Almost Here! The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are the greatest days on earth - even more virtuous than the days of Ramadan! While the nights of Ramadan are superior, the days of Dhul Hijjah are unmatched in reward and significance. Our beloved Prophet ﷺ encouraged us to fill these blessed days with acts of worship. Here are three powerful ways to benefit: 1.Fast the first 9 days, especially the Day of Arafah. 2.Increase your Dhikr – frequently say SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar. 3.Fast on the Day of Arafah, which the Prophet ﷺ said erases the sins of the previous year and the year to come! May Allah grant us the tawfiq to make the most of these sacred days. Ameen. #collierrowmosque

We were truly honoured to welcome young Hafiz, Qari Yahya Ali to Collier Row Mosque. His heartfelt recitation of the Qur’an touched our hearts and inspired many of our youngsters to connect more deeply with the Book of Allah. As he embarks on his undergraduate journey at Oxford Uni, we wish him every success.
