@KolinHuang Yes good advise. Ask the agent to reproduce the error as tests. And then implement till the test turns green.

Cheap review trick for agent code. Before you open the diff, ask the agent to describe the change in a few sentences. Then read the diff against that description. The spots where the two disagree are the first places to look and fix.

@0xAifred Absolutely. Most of 2026, google has been just absent. I am glad they are finally showing up. Let’s hope they can compete with the frontier. More competition is always good for us.

What a disappointing release from google. Performs roughly the same as Sol 6.1 while taking significantly more money per task. But at least they are in the race. More competition is better so I guess there is that. Anyone tried it yet? How is it in serious coding tasks?

DHH says he usually prefers agent PRs on Omarchy, because few humans have the patience to write a bug report as complete as an agent's. I've seen the same thing. An agent's issue comes with repro steps, the exact error and what it already tried. Mine at 1am says "login broken". What I want to know is who reviews all of them once every contributor has an agent.

Agent contributions to Omarchy are not only very welcome, but I usually prefer them! Rare is the human who has the patience to match an agent in providing all the pertinent details in a bug report. Also, PRs are mostly just proofs of concept now anyway.

Why does codex compact at just 350k context? I didn’t even make any changes to the default. What is this stupid logic?

@dinocorreia09 @X True. I’ve also started thinking about designing the repo in an agent friendly manner. Helps a lot if agents make lesser mistakes.

~5 new followers in August, ~17 in September, 120 so far in October. Thanks to the people who showed up. I'd like to know who you are. What are you building this month, and which part is fighting you? I'll read them all and reply.

@builtwithrubel You need to learn it differently. It was never about writing code in the first place. AI still needs way to much hand holding. Will probably be solved in the future though.
