This ship was cyber-attacked. Lights go off and it deliberately steers towards the bridge supports. Foreign agents of the USA attack digital infrastructures. Nothing is safe. Black Swan event imminent.
While it is possible that is what happened, I seriously doubt it was. In fact so much so I would say you are straight up WRONG! What is far more likely is that the ship is departing port which means it likely just fueled, it is likely that the ship got a bad load of fuel and were not properly running centrifuges to keep it clean, or simply that a filter blocked up at the most inopportune time and they did not have the auto start set on the backup power generator. That generator that supplies power to the ship for the steering system and lights etc is probably not connected to a digital backbone that can be remotely hacked. It would have to be something along the lines of a member of the crew purposefully cutting power onboard. The real question I would ask is why was it not policy for the tugs to escort her out past the bridges and critical infrastructure? It is in this question where the oversight most likely lies.

I'm not an expert. But, I was in the Navy & there are several things I can tell a lot of commenters don't know about ships. 1.) Ship lost power & when power came back on the electronic rudder was "hard to starboard" probably also not responding. 2.) As power came back the smokestack started billowing black smoke. Probably the engine restarting but, could have been a fire in the engine room caused by the outage. 3.) "Tugs didn't respond to mayday". Realistically the only way they could have responded was if they were already escorting the ship. Ships & boats are worse than trains when looking for speed; stopping power or responsiveness in general. 4.) If tugs had been escorting they might have succumbed to the same power issues the ship had.

@Cobratate Yes. I'm a Putin realist. This was a shot off the bow for the US.
@Cobratate I've been on large ships like that, and have lost power like that. The water there must have strong currents that can push the ship towards the bridge. I think it's more about the ship not being kept up well rather than cyber attacks.
@Cobratate Be alert and be aware.
@Cobratate Agree cyberattack on ship plausible, even likely. There also appear to have been 1 or more explosions on the upper structure just as the ship hit.
