@Jennifer_Manly @Sheena1010 It's funny that you mention that because one of my best students was a student diagnosed with ADHD. He excelled at CS and continued to pursue it outside of school. #csk8
@hecknull @Sheena1010 CS can be hard as it is. I get frustrated with it. But success is that look on the students face when they figure it out and everything works the way it's supposed to. That is the best feeling ever and that makes them self confident and come back for more. #csk8

@Todd_Lash They don't understand the huge impact that technology has on them and how much it has changed in such a small span of time. Stories usually help them understand. We have gone to the @ComputerHistory museum and it helps put it in perspective.
@Todd_Lash A6) Most kids have a phone and this is always a start for talking about computers and their use and the impact it has. I like to tell them a story of how I used to communicate in the 90s with my friends and how I had to wait for the one phone in the house to talk to my friends.

@VisionsByVicky @Todd_Lash Trying to figure this out myself, and of course all the students are different and some can just run with it and others need some more help. I tried to pair the students up to help each other and this seems to help them. #csk8 It's a learning process for me and them.

@Sheena1010 A5) We offer our club as an elective but we recruit students by showing them that 1. I am a woman and I code. 2) I am mexican and I code. My background is similar to theirs and they feel empowered to do this as well. #csk8
