I honestly wonder if Dabo uses this as a recruiting pitch to parents Like hey, across the country they’ll replace you quick at some other places, here we’ll develop you and take care of you on and off the field. I’m sure that would resonate with parents.

@Clemson_Addict This is 100% a recruiting pitch he’s always used - the transfer portal just adds another perspective to it
@Clemson_Addict I think it’s a positive if you’re there for the education and love of the school A lot of players are there only to play football. If there’s no path to playing and a coach communicates that it’s really a mutual decision I don’t think players are kicked off as much as we think
@Clemson_Addict That's 100% his recruiting pitch. His philosophy has always been about family and wanting kids to feel welcomed. So yea, that's 100% a dabo pitch.
@Clemson_Addict Nah, it's a new world and Dabo refuses to adapt. He can line up 4 &5 star frosh and get beat by upperclassmen acquired thru the transfer portal. 3 year developmental programs are gone with the wind.
@Clemson_Addict I will say this and no one will agree with this. But thank God for the Daniel High School recruits! Most of those guys have always wanted to play and graduate for/from Clemson. Also, Dabo wants to play everyone. Coach Reed only recruits players that want to play. (1)
@Clemson_Addict I think that's 100% what the pitch is. Also, if you're going to go that route, you need the best damn position coaches money can buy, thus coaching changes last year, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if some people are on the clock this year.
@Clemson_Addict Problem is that kids nowadays wanna come in & start day 1, and if they don’t start after freshman year they’re ready to slide outta there. Not too many willing to hang in there and truly grow
