With a rookie* QB, young receiving corp and Watson injured, Jones WAS GBs offense. He even took a pay cut to stay with the team in 2023! But I digress. I find the lack of communication between HC and GM to be wild. LaFleur has been one of the most successful coaches and doesn’t have a say!? 🤔🥴🤐

@ClayMatthews52 Packers gonna Packers #FTTB
@ClayMatthews52 Love should have been on the plane out of GB instead.
@ClayMatthews52 Well well well…. I’ve been saying the GB leadership has been toxic for quite some time now. Appears I’m correct. Thank you @ClayMatthews52 and I think you deserved better. I’m a Packer fan btw, I’ve just witnessed what the organization has become, a toxic organization.
@ClayMatthews52 gm gm Clay 🥐 btw checkout @superxtensions I think you'll love it!!
But we must all toe the line that this FO is the best, does no wrong, and it’s all the players fault…every-time. Hopefully MM retiring will allow some reorganizing of the power structure and get back to what it should be. Murphy being gone alone will be a significant step in that direction.
@ClayMatthews52 I'm not saying this is the whole problem, but I think it's a big one. packersnews.com/story/sports/n…
@ClayMatthews52 He was such a key component of--and representative of--the spirit of Green Bay (win or lose; character matters). I am genuinely saddened to see him leave. Just an amazing person.
@ClayMatthews52 Ehh. I love Jones. But these moves of getting rid a guy a year early rather than a year late is what we've done and it's been pretty successful. Lafleur certainly had a say. But his separation from those decisions is best for his rep with the boys. Avoids the Belichick GM issues.
