Nashville Covenant school teaches speaks against bill to arm teachers: "I simply cannot imagine how I could have pulled out a gun with 10 children under foot and in my arms. I think of all the terrible things that could have gone wrong had I had a gun.”
@CitizenFreePres If you’re so fragile you can’t protect the precious souls in your care then you shouldn’t be a teacher at all
@CitizenFreePres I'd never allow my children in her care.
@CitizenFreePres Wonder how she feels about prescribing ADHD-related drugs to those same children
@CitizenFreePres Then don’t get one! But don’t come to my classroom when shit goes down
@CitizenFreePres I would gladly help buy and train, on my own time, any of my children’s teachers. After I was done, I would feel very confident in their ability to help defend a classroom. Some are just afraid of weapons because they’ve never been trained to use one effectively.
@CitizenFreePres So because she "cannot imagine" no one should be allowed to protect kids. What a narcissist.
@CitizenFreePres Don’t protect the kids then..let someone else! Don’t complain when someone is shooting at you either and feeling helpless though.
@CitizenFreePres They don’t mean her then. She would not be forced to carry. There are capable people out there.
@CitizenFreePres Pathetic. Why Nashville will be Seattle soon.
@CitizenFreePres Flaw in the logic here: Hale CHOSE the school because it wouldn’t be met with armed resistance. Knowing the teachers had guns would be a deterrent. Period.
