I think one of the main problems in this hobby (simracing) is that it can't support too many content creators full time. So you need to either: have a day job, find work for a sim title formally as a dev, review hardware all the time...(cont.)
...or create more and more edgy bordering on offensive prodding taunts. Let's be real we only have one (or maybe two) super successful content creators in our hobby who have made it big time.
@Christopher_EEE This is a massive oversimplification. You make most money as an influencer being anodyne / a promoter You really don't make money being even slightly critical and you will be constantly harassed for it. Improv , comedy , sarcasm, exaggeration is also lost on lots of people
@Christopher_EEE Even if I could make a full time living off sim racing and content creation, I wouldn’t do it. Hats off to those who can make it work but it’s gonna remain a part time thing in my life.
@Christopher_EEE Well, and that IRL racing is expensive, so very few that are able to make the connection to both that really want to, and make content, and have time AND make a living.
@Christopher_EEE Yep. Having been full time... It was clear to me that my route to remaining full time was being something I'm not Edgy, controversial for the sake of it, over the top, false opinions etc Just isn't me. But how people are to grab attention
