2/ First, it's interesting to note that Missouri used to have VERY tough gun laws. Up until the 2000s, the state had universal background checks, rigorous permitting laws, restrictions on concealed carry. Then, the NRA scheduled their 2007 convention for St. Louis.
@ChrisMurphyCT CT has the strictest, and Sandy Hook still happened. We need armed guards at school, like we have in every State, City and Federal office bldg, court, big corp., TV station, etc. Why don't Dems want to protect kids?

@ChrisMurphyCT @ErinZamoff I know, @ChrisMurphyCT, that your depth of understanding on this issue is probably deeper than any other senator. Have we put forth any more funding (or reinstated funding) towards national data collection for injuries/deaths with firearms? Didn't Trump Admin cut that?
