If you need alcohol to have a good time and chant something other than “let’s go *team name*” you may have a problem, sorry to be the one to tell you
I’m very anti alcohol (grew up with an alcoholic) but idk if the issue is them actually needing alcohol for the good time (in fact I don’t think that’s true for most people claiming it) more so than it is them THINKING you need it to have the courage to be unique or start something unique like a chant. A weed edible could do the same thing as alcohol so it’s less the alcohol specifically but my main point is that I agree with you bc and in the end it doesn’t matter at all what they have. A weed gummy, a beer, jager bombs, tequila doesn’t matter, the crowd wouldn’t change from US to UK levels. I think this line of thought is also due to a fundamental misunderstanding of the differences between UK and US sporting culture from the Americans claiming they need alcohol, when in actuality they just need better culture and less self conscious thought at sporting events and general entertainment
@ChloeCOD_ They need alcohol to chant that, if a UK crowd is given alcohol, oh god the chants would become CRIMINAL 😂
@ChloeCOD_ Def dont need it for a good time, but usually have a better time if its available. The people that "need" it are always trouble.
@ChloeCOD_ wait til they find out UK football teams can’t even bring beer to their seats yet still have that atmosphere
