@natesolon Because many tech companies started with physical products that needed to be built/stored (Apple, Amazon, HP) and/or computer servers still required space (Google). I haven't heard many post-2008 companies say they came from garages, but maybe I am out of the loop.

@NoJokeChris Good point. I think this is why Magnus seemed so personally offended at the way some of the World Championship games went. He wants to win due to his strength, not because his opponent messes up.

@DMardov I think there is still a lot of opportunity to gamify chess. Chasing ELO is nice, but I think some company needs to crack the code for achievements, badges, and just making a more colorful UX in general. Maybe ChessKid does that? I've never tried it.
