Yelling "the 49ers should have run the ball more" ignores the realities of football and this game. The Chiefs played a great game defensively, taking away the first-down run while staying disciplined on the back end. SF successfully stabilized offensively, but it simply wasn't enough in a 75-minute prize fight. That's sports. Agony is part of the deal — retroactively and simplistically blaming playcalling is rarely a productive critique. It certainly wasn't tonight. Credit both teams for leaving it all out there and the Chiefs for earning a championship
@LombardiHimself Sometimes, you have to force your will. The 49ers played right in the Chiefs hands by passing on 1st down and then getting behind the sticks. Don't let them dictate your game plan.
@Cheerio2061 @LombardiHimself 💯💯💯. You play YOUR game and force them to try to stop you. Getting all cute and passing it on early downs made our offense one dimensional. Can’t do that against KC secondary
