U.S. Marshals Task Forces in East & West Tenn. worked to capture Christopher Smith, 33, of Memphis, who was wanted by the @MEM_PoliceDept for the 6-20-23 shooting death of a 3-year-old in Memphis. Smith was arrested in Tullahoma, TN by Marshals and Coffee Co. Sheriff's Deputies.
Congratulations to @ChattanoogaPD for winning the "HOTDOG you're First Responder" challenge. CPD had 53 officers, CFD had 20 firefighters, and EMT had 38 technicians come by Carver Community Center. CPD was rewarded with a "TACO about you're #1" taco luncheon. Congrats!

It was a privilege to recognize two heroes this morning. Off-duty CFD Chief Rick Boatwright and civilian Jimmy Franklin launched into action to evacuate a burning building two weeks ago, risking their own lives to save others. Their acts of bravery are an example for us all.
