@CharlesWMcKinn2 Exactly! I remember being critical of my HBCU president in undergrad because of his use of eminent domain with neighboring project housing and the white, state governing body he was courting and a Black woman staff member warned me that they lose people’s graduation application.
@CharlesWMcKinn2 Its a problem. The vast majority of students - and faculty and staff - are at four year publics.
@CharlesWMcKinn2 Was just talking with a friend about this, especially when looking at UIC in Chicago and other schools that have longstanding examples of protest or organizing not just when more folks are paying attention.
@CharlesWMcKinn2 yes. this is such a problem. I often find myself baffled, asking "what higher ed landscape is this"? (and I say this as someone who teaches at a private SLAC!)
