I fear we are raising up a generation of young ministry leaders who know how to Sabbath but not how to suffer. Many value margin and mental health, but where are those with a burning zeal, a burden for the lost, and a commitment to costly personal disciple-making? I am not saying we should abandon wise rhythms, but I wonder if we have lost some of what compelled Paul to say, “I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls” 2 Corinthians 12:15

(see last slide.) Only eternity will tell the scope of the impact of his life and ministry but I know thousands of people have been transformed through the spiritual multiplication of one faithful man of God. Just shared the gospel with a guy named Edgar who told me he went to church sometimes to “work on getting saved.” Got to share that salvation is a free gift (Romans 6:23) and give him a gospel booklet.
