#Athletics announced attendance at potential final season opener in #Oakland: 13,522 They drew twice as many last year for Angels/Otani Lowest was 7,294 in 1996 when they ironically opened in Las Vegas because of Coliseum construction of Mt. Davis Current view: Down 6-0 T6
@CamInman @oaklandfans That Is 13k too many. I’m surprised it was even that much.
@CamInman Wow that was some serious foreshadowing in 1996!
@CamInman I grew up an A’s fan in the 1970’s. I’m so sad that Oakland has lost their beloved football and baseball teams. I loved Daryl Lamonica, Reggie Jackson and so many others of that period and those great teams.
@CamInman Maybe if ownership paid money to get some talent on the team they would draw more attendance. Plus, who in their right mind would even attempt to go into Oakland. You couldn't pay me too.
@CamInman Are you going to obsess over the attendance all season, yes it's going to be bad all year, yes the ownership sucks, yes the stadium sucks..thank you
@CamInman If the A's played in a 28k capacity stadium it would look close to 13k.The Coliseum capacity is 56k? Today's baseball stadiums are much smaller. Might as well move all teams with average attendance under 20k. Yes, A's lowest in MLB attendance and play in a dual stadium.
@CamInman 2027 and Oakland Staduim in 2028 thank you i Fried John Fisher
@CamInman It was about 4-5k, more folks stayed outside in the lot than came in.
